The Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid can once again boast a great title. Over the past year, it has been voted the best-selling passenger car of the month several times, but now the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid is also the best-selling passenger car for the first half of the year.

The Danish Car Importer has just published the latest figures for the first half of 2021. The Kuga Plug-in Hybrid took first place with 3,456 registered cars, the best-selling passenger car in the first six months of the year.

Sales of rechargeable cars have been particularly good in the first half of 2021. A total of 18,430 new plug-in hybrids and 7,424 new electric cars have been registered, which corresponds to as much as 26.8% of all new cars that can be charged with power from charging stations. In the same period last year, rechargeable cars accounted for just 9.3%.

Ford hit the market at just the right time with the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid. A lot has already happened to the market for hybrid and electric cars since the launch of the plug-in hybrid car last spring. That it is so popular puts a thick line under it with its combination of good driving characteristics, lots of equipment, nice design and, not least, a sharp price.

This is not the first time the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid has taken first place as the best-selling passenger car. As recently as May, the Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid became the best-selling passenger car, and last summer, the plug-in hybrid car received the same title for a full three months in a row.

The title of the best-selling passenger car in the first half of 2021 must thus be seen as an extension of an extremely popular reception since the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid came to Denmark last spring. Several motoring journalists were also particularly enthusiastic about its combination of seductive design, comfortable driving characteristics, well-functioning hybrid system, a wide range of driver assistance technologies and, not least, the sharp price.

The 2021 Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid can be purchased for 38,000 euros. @via Ford.
