Opel has been taking orders for its Rocks-e city electric car since the end of last year. The two-seater city electric vehicle was initially priced at 7990 euros. However, Opel is now launching a financing offer with favorable monthly installments. This electric car lease deal should also appeal to young people, as Rocks-e electric cars are permitted to be driven in Germany starting at 15.

The Opel Rocks-e is now available for financing from 49 euros per month, Opel announced. The electric car lease deal is on the level of a monthly ticket for local public transport. "With an Opel Rocks-e electric car starting price of just 7,990 euros, Opel has made a real statement for the affordable entry-level electric vehicle. We are now topping that with a monthly financing rate that starts at 49 euros," says Germany boss Andreas Marx.

The 2.41-meter long mini electric car can be financed from Opel from 49 euros/month in the future, plus a down payment of 2950 euros. The Opel Rocks-e city electric car offers a range of 75 kilometers according to the WLTP standard and a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The electric motor has a rated continuous output of 6 kW/8 hp and a maximum output of 9 kW/12 hp. Remember that the 5.5 kWh battery can be charged in just four hours via a household socket.

Every Rocks-e comes with a panoramic glass roof as standard. For just under 11 euros more per month, the two variants, Klub and TeKno, bring additional color into play: the panels on the front and rear aprons are cosmic gray on the Opel Rocks-e Klub and electric yellow on the Opel Rocks-e TeKno. The interior picks this color pattern, with matching colored storage nets and bag hooks on the door and cosmic gray or electric yellow inserts in the instrument cluster and center console. Borussia Dortmund fans can get into the BVB special edition Opel Rocks-e 09 limited to 1909 units from 62.77 euros per month.

Opel's advertised financing terms are constantly in flux. Opel Rocks-e customers can choose between 5,000, 10,000, or 15,000 kilometers of mileage per year, depending on their driving profile. In addition, contract terms of 24, 36, or 48 months are possible.

At this price, Opel Rocks-e is cheaper than the new Fiat 500e.
