The era of electric vehicles is increasingly filled with new players. Like a new player, this electric motorcycle comes with its own uniqueness. Because instead of using a plastic body, this electric motor uses wood as its body.

The electric motorcycle using a wooden body is the Newron EV-1. Sebastien Mahut, CEO of Newron Motors, said that the motorbike would be marketed soon. Newron Motors itself was established in 2016, while the wooden motorbike concept has existed since 2009.

Mahut also suggested the formation of this Newrons EV motorcycle. In 2009, he tried to graft the battery and electric motor into the Aprilia Futura motorcycle chassis. From the results of these trials, an electric motor was created with a maximum speed of 70 mph and a range of less than 40 miles.

Then when the Newron EV-1 was born, Mahut promised better performance than on his first try. The wooden electric motorbike will have a range of up to 185 miles on a single charge with a maximum power of 102 horsepower and 239 Nm of torque. At the same time, the speed itself is able to reach 0-100 km / h in less than 3 seconds.

"As the world evolves, we evolve too. We are now looking for ways to improve our engineering and design capabilities to bring magic to the road," said Newron.

From the rendering of the Newron EV-1, it can be seen that this electric motorbike uses a cylindrical battery behind its wooden body panels. But Mahut did not mention when this motorbike would be launched soon, of course, in 2020.
